In one of the most prestigious locations in Galatina, a few meters from the Basilica of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, “Palazzo Galatos” stands out among the streets of the historic center.
The building, dating back to the 19th century, which is accessed via two large doors, is made up of three levels: a ground floor with a large entrance hall with light well and service rooms, formerly used as stables, and as rooms where it took place. the production of oil and the conservation of supplies; a habitable mezzanine and a large apartment on the first floor.
The main floor is made up of rooms with corner and pavilion vaults, decorated with nineteenth-century and Art Nouveau motifs.
From the balcony on the first floor and from the terrace, where there is an additional room to be recovered, you can enjoy a privileged view of the historic center.
The whole building has a charm coming from a past time and becomes a treasure chest of a precious piece of history of the city of Galatina, one of the main artistic and cultural hubs of Salento.
